Victoria Readers Reading Program
Victoria Readers, a system conceived in 1980 to teach a five-year old Ho May Ling to read, has since benefited numerous children. In fact, the system has been so successful that children from English speaking background could read with ease in less than 55 lessons! This system will greatly assist teachers and parents who wish to teach their children to read fluently.
What is Victoria Readers?
Victoria Readers is a system that uses a proven systematic approach to phonics that will teach your child to read.
The Victoria Readers' system consists of 3 levels:
- Level 1: Child learns to read three letter words
- Level 2: Child learns to combine one or two vowel sounds with single & double consonant
- Level 3: Child reads to expand vocabulary & inculcate reading habit
What is different about Victoria Readers?
- We take the shortest time to teach a child from English background to read & spell automatically (50-60 lessons)
- Our system is so simple & systematic that a precocious 4 year old can be taught to read independently
- At the end of the course, our children are normally 2 years ahead of their peers in reading fluency & knowledge
